MB11.01 system software
MB11.01 Exchange Channel
Module device provides data exchange according to MIL-STD-1553.
The device is designed as a card to PC, it should be inserted into the
PCI slot and is designed for operating as a part of testing and debugging architecture.
The card is designed by the RC Module, which is known mostly for its neuroprocessors and
corresponding software.
BU-61580 microcircuit manufactured by ILC DDC (USA) is the heart of the card. This chip includes tranceiver
for getting connected to the channel and MIL-STD-1553 protocol logic. Apart from BU-61580
there is a RAM bank (128K of words), PCI controller and managing logic. How it looks
System software of the card
consists of run time library (RTL2) and a driver (which is indispensable due to the fact
that some operations can be carried out only in kernel mode of the operating system).
RTL2 library makes access to the device easier for any application, and it also provides interaction between applications and exchange channel at a higher level of abstraction, in terms of MIL-STD-1553 protocol rather than in terms of registers of device.
The library is written in the C language and is oriented to 32 bits processors and operating systems.
It was designed portable, and API on different platforms are identical.
For the present the library and driver of the device was completed for MS Windows 95/98 platform.
Version to MS DOS (DOS4GW 32 bit extender) is being worked on.
Ports for MS Windows NT 4.0, Linux, QNX platforms are planned to be released.
Need more detailed information about the library? Download header files (.h), theyre extensively commented.
You can also download a complete version from here (in Russian).
RTL2 library can be obtained only with an MB11.01 card. If you want to buy
the card, contact RC Module.
If you design exchange devices with BU-61580 chip or compatible with it (BU-65170, BU-61585, BU-61590, BU-65178, BU-61588, BU-65179, BU-61688, BU-61689, BU-61582, BU-61583, BU-65620, BU-65621), we can adapt RTL2 to work with your devices. This work can be done by additional agreement. Youll have the right of unlimited distribution of the RTL2 clone, specially adapted for your purposes.
Same offer to organizations, that dont make devices on the base of BU-XXXX themselves, but use them and either dont have RTL for them or arent satisfied with the RTL they have.
